Eye test chart – the assessment for “poor vision”
An eye chart test is a vision examination performed by an optometrist, to practice your vision ability. Other general tests are done in order to determine your accurate visual acuity; this is usually done to obtain lenses or glasses. This is a very simple and basic procedure, done to comprehend how well you can see. So no worries! The chart is placed a few meters away from you to read the letters set on the chart. Once the examination is completed, an average reading can be obtained. The average analysis varies; these are some readings for you to review:
• 80-100 – Excellent vision
• 60-80 – Good vision
• 40- 60 – Fair, corrective glasses could be needed
• 20-40 – “ legally blind” – corrective glasses is compulsory
